The Red Rust - South Morocco
The Red Rust is our fly-and-ride expedition of the ancient land of Morocco. The rugged landscape of Morocco has long been known for wearing down men and machines. This nine-day moto-expedition is an analog immersion into the expansiveness of the Sahara and the red grit of the anti-atlas ranges. The bulletproof BMW GS'es are your trusted aide on this roller coaster of a ride that takes you across beaches, mountain passes and dunes.

Day 1
Casablanca Arrival
Fly into Casablanca. The team will meet you at the airport for the transfer to the hotel. We’ll spend the afternoon on foot with our local partners, navigating the markets and the sea-side mosque of Hassan II. A bit of the coast before we move inland toward the Atlas.
Day 2
The Red City
We start the day with a two-hour transit to Marrakesh to meet the fleet. The afternoon is dedicated to the handover of the motorcycles. Once the documentation is cleared, you’ll ride around and spend the remainder of the day acclimating to the right-hand lanes and the local rhythm of the Red City.
Day 3
Across The Spine
Fly into Casablanca. The team will meet you at the airport for the transfer to the hotel. We’ll spend the afternoon on foot with our local partners, navigating the markets and the sea-side mosque of Hassan II. Consider this a brief immersion into the coast before we move inland toward the Atlas.
Day 4
The Gorges
We start the day riding across the desert flats between the High and Anti-Atlas chains, moving toward the Dades Gorges. The route takes us through the legendary switchbacks of the R704. From there, we push east into the Todgha Valley, a limestone corridor where the cliff walls raise up to around 800 meters.
Day 5
Greener Pastures
We exit the High Atlas through the Jbel Saghro, a volcanic massif defined by jagged black rock and high-altitude plateaus. We then climb up to the Tizi n’Tazazert pass and then descend into the Draa Valley. Draa is the historic artery of the Maghreb, where ancient fortified ksars still mark the caravan route that once connected Marrakech to Timbuktu. We end our day in Zagora, in the heart of the longest palm oasis in the world.
Day 6
End Of Roads
We ride along the Draa river until its last stand. M'hamid is the literal end of the road. The Saharan dunes take over from here. We head deeper into the desert and stay in a remote desert camp for the night.
Day 7
That Ending Feeling
We ride across the winding roads through the arid anti atlas mountains to reach Fint oasis by lunch. We then head toward the city of Ouarzazate - famously known as the "Hollywood of the desert" (magnum opuses like Gladiator and star wars were shot here) and end our days' ride here
Day 8
The Final Climb
We leave the desert behind and head back into the High Atlas, tracing the Tizi n'Tichka pass one more time. This isn’t a rush to the finish; it’s a slow climb through the hairpins and the high, thin air that separates the Sahara from the city. By the time the red earth turns back to the pavement of Marrakesh. We return the bikes back and head to our hotel for the day. You’ll realize the landscape isn't the only thing that changed this week.
Day 9
Until Next Time
On the last day of the tour, we swap the two-wheels for a four and start the drive back to Casablanca. It’s a quiet couple of hours, just enough time to recap your journey across the expansive landscapes of Morocco before you fly out.
